Abstract

Loss is a condition that anyone can experience. However, everyone has a different response depending on the loss experienced. The sense of loss as a state of reality in society is represented in communication media, one of which is advertising. This study aims to determine the representation of a sense of loss in the XL Axiata advertisement version of “Pesan untuk Raka” on youtube. Roland Barthes' semiotic approach examined signs of denotation, connotation, and formed myths. The focus of the study was the five stages of loss in the XL Axiata version of the “Pesan untuk Raka” advertisement. Research data was obtained from observations on advertisements. This study found seven scenes representing the five stages of loss in advertising. The results denoted that the impact of loss can be reduced by being together and caring for each other in the community. In conclusion, the elements of a sense of loss found in this study are denial, bargaining, depression, and acceptance.

Abstract

Communication between children and stepparents in the family is dyadic interpersonal communication. Dyadic communication is a type of communication that involves the relationship of two people. Dyadic interpersonal communication will be effective if the communication builds a shared understanding based on an attitude of openness, empathy, a supportive attitude or a positive attitude, and equality. This study examined dyadic interpersonal communication between children and stepparents in the family. The author used a qualitative descriptive method. The researchers collected primary data from interviews with five children who have stepparents. The study found the four elements of interpersonal communication in dyadic communication between children and stepparents. The element of openness was the most crucial factor in dyadic interpersonal communication between children and stepparents because it was the beginning of the presence of other aspects of effective communication. In addition, open communication can build positive, equal, and empathetic relationships.

Abstract

This study discussed the news in several online media news regarding the unregistered marriage between the artist couple Lesti Kejora and Rizky Billar. The purpose of this study was to determine the critical analysis of Norman Fairclouh on the Marriage News of Artist Siri Lesti Kejora with Rizky Billar. The study used Norman Fairclough's Critical Discourse Analysis to analyze articles in five online news stories. The object of this research was the news headlines about the marriage of Rizky Billar and Lesti Kejora on five online news websites, namely Sosok.id.com, tribunnew.com, detik.com, Kompas.com, and tabloidbintang.com. The research method used in this research was descriptive qualitative. The data collection technique started from looking for similar stories in several online news stories. The data analysis technique in this research was to analyze similar news, and then the news is analyzed for the pros or cons of reporting one by one. The analysis of the five news articles found that the ideological, cultural, and legal aspects were present through the views of the internet community (netizens) on the procedures and continuity of unregistered marriage activities. The conclusion is the analysis of the five news reports found that news coverage was not always objective but always had the news writer's point of view. Aspects of culture, ideology and law are aspects that become the theme of the news.

Abstract

Youtube menjadi salah satu platform media sosial paling menarik di Indonesia, termasuk materi vlog kuliner Ria SW. Selain itu, topik food vlog bertepatan dengan perilaku pelanggan terkait penjualan online. Peneliti akan membahas konten Youtube mempengaruhi perilaku konsumen pengguna Ria SW dalam penelitian ini. Paradigma positivistik diterapkan dalam penelitian ini, dan teknik kuantitatif yang digunakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konten food vlog Ria SW berpengaruh terhadap perilaku konsumsi pelanggannya. Metode survei yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian eksplanatori. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori SR sebagai kerangka teoritis. Dengan menggunakan uji-t, besaran nilai t hitung 9,538 > t tabel 1,985, menunjukkan bahwa ho ditolak dan ha disetujui. Menurut temuan ini, food vlog makanan sangat memengaruhi perilaku pelanggan.

Abstract

The born of Public Information Disclosure Laws of Indonesia as written on Act Number 14 Year 2008 causes all public body must actively provide transparent, complete, and clear information to the public. As an implementation of public information disclosure, Sidodadi Village is one of public body located in Mukomuko District must have an Information and Documentation Management Officer (shortened as PPID in Bahasa) website to disseminate information in accordance with the table of public information data availability of Mukomuko District. The objects the present study were contents contained in PPID website of Sidodadi Village. This study used qualitative content analysis model approach. The analysis performed toward text and picture on the website. With the presence of the website, the public information of Sidodadi Village can be accessed well by everyone, as long as they are connected with internet. We conclude that the website of Sidodadi Village has fulfilled the function as promotion, marketing, information, education and communication media.
